9:am Social hour... (Meeting 9:30 to noon)

Fri. May 19-Collapse weave and crimp cloth: similarities and differences.  Heather and Elaine will share their explorations of these techniques to help us prepare for Dianne Totten's presentation in June

THURS. June 15 Dianne Totten, a weaver of thirty years, uses a variation of handwoven Shibori to produce what she calls Crimp Cloth. $10. members... $15 non members. - more details -TBA

Fri. July 21 -Some more simple techniques that give an interesting look to even plain weave will be shown: clasped weft, loops, and hemstitching.  Dorothy will demonstrate, but if you can bring a table loom, (as with the previous leno program), you can try these techniques during the meeting.

Fri. August 18- Yarn basics (Dagmar) This should be of special interest to those who are weavers but not spinners. How does the construction of the yarn influence its use for weaving?

Fri. September 15 -Weaving for clothing/How to sew handwoven fabric.

Fri. October 20- Huck and other lace weaves

Fri. November 17 -Dagmar will demonstrate shadow-weave pins (brooches). These are needle-woven on cardboard and make good presents.
